Nipissing University is having two contests, one for videos, and one for blogging. For the video contest, they are looking for student videos about life at Nipissing and university in general. Upload videos about your first year experience, a survival guide to university, a commentary on what sets Nipissing apart from other universities, or about a topic of your own. There are a variety of prizes available for a number of different categories. Some of the prizes include $1,000 cash, a video camera, a $500 gift card for the Campus Shop and an Apple iPod Touch. The deadline for video submissions is October 20th.

To enter the blogging contest, students must: Create a blog before October 1 and update regularly throughout the school year. In April the blogs will be assessed to determine the best of the bunch based on qualitative and quantitative measures. A number of prizes will be available for different categories. Some of the prizes include $2,000 cash, a Mini Laptop, a $500 gift card for the Campus Shop and an Apple iTouch. Your blog must be hosted on www.blogger.com. An email must be sent to blog@nipissingu.ca before October 1 with your name, and blog URL. You must be a current student of Nipissing University. You must update your blog at least once every 31 days.
