This is great because it’s a video contest as well as a written contest.  eBillme is awarding $1,500 in cash or prizes EVERY month for the entire year in 2008, you can get $1,000 for the best video confession and $500 for the best written confession. At the end of the year, they’re giving away a Grand Prize of $15,000.

All you have to do is spill your guts and tell the world your shopping secret. For example, did you buy so many designer shoes that there’s no room for dust bunnies under your bed? Did you plan a secret surprise family vacation, only to have everyone find out early when your son found the tickets hidden behind the cabbage in the fridge? Or maybe you were sick and feverish, saw a large lot of commemorative swords and knives on sale on a late night show and decided it was a bargain too good to pass up?
(My confession: I’m the one that bought the swords and knives, my temperature was 102 and the price looked right at the time. I’ve learned since then to put away my credit card at the first sign of fever.)

Multiple entries are accepted, and the rules suggest your videos last from 30-60 seconds, but length can vary. Upload your video to either their YouTube or Facebook group, using the tags “eBillme, Shop and Confess, Shopping Confessions” and “eBillme”. You may also add other tags of your choosing.  Start and end the video with a 2 second display of the eBillme logo (available as a MPG or WMV on their rules page) and use the following sentence to start the video, “eBillme, I have a shopping confession”.  Note: If you are not able to insert the logo, you must use the following sentence to start the video, “eBillme, I have a shopping confession”.  The submission cut off is the last day of the calendar month, at 12 midnight EST. For example, the first cut off was January 31st, 2008, followed by February 29th, 2008, etc. Winners will be contacted and announced the first week of the following month.

The monthly video winner will receive a monthly prize valued at a minimum of $1000 and the best text submission will get a monthly prize valued at a minimum of $500. The very end of the contest is December 26th, 2008, so you still have time to get in on the monthly contests. Make sure you read all the contest rules . I can not wait to see the submissions on this one, I am hoping to find someone else that made a bigger shopping boo-boo than I did.
