Mommy Bloggers, this video contest is a great way for you to help everyone at your child’s school by encouraging them to make a music video that shows how amazing it would be to have a technology-fueled classroom. Or if you are a teacher, your class could win a makeover worth over $25,000 from eInstruction, premier global provider of interactive learning solutions. They merged with Interwrite Learning earlier this year, and plan on offering the Interwrite Makeover Contest again because it was so popular last year. It’s important to note that this is an multi-national contest that is open to all primary and secondary teachers and students in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand and Canada. The contest is not limited to users of eInstruction or Interwrite Learning products.

According to the guidelines, your music video must:
Include Interwrite once in the lyrics of the song
End by directing viewers to the Interwrite Learning website to vote for the best video
Be submitted by a teacher
Be 3 minutes in length or less
Include at least 1 teacher and 1 student demonstrating, discussing or referring to technology in the classroom. For example a song parody that shows:

  • How your class used technology to make a class project better
  • How a class project could have been better with technology
  • How you plan to use technology in a class project
  • How your class uses technology every day to make the learning experience great
  • Your vision of a classroom that is creatively and effectively using technology to enhance learning

Just imagine what your students could do with new technological equipment like an Interwrite Pad and Board, A Dell Latitude E54000 Laptop, Planet Earth DVD series from Discovery Education, Study Island Standards-Based Learning Programs and Assesement, AverVision CP300 Interactive Document Camera by AVerMedia, LCD Projector, and a Classroom Sound System. The winners also get $1000 CASH towards the purchase of technology in your classroom and a cake party for the entire school!

The site also says:
