This video contest is for high school students (The site also says “and Jr. High?” so your kid might want to contact them for further clarification ) and is only open to immediate families of Ames Construction. Your objective is to “produce a video that conveys a message of the importance of being safe at work, in a vehicle, or at home. ”

Third place wins $800, second place gets $1000, and the first place winner will receive $1,200. Winning videos will be available on the Ames website for viewing along with the names and pictures of the winners. Make sure to download the official contest entry form and the complete contest entry rules, both are PDFs at the bottom of the page.

NOTE: The rules state to submit your video by mail or courier to a physical address. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to get your video done and in the mail before the deadline.

The deadline for entry is November 1, 2008 and the winners will be announced by December 15, 2008.
