Let’s say you have an waterproof digital camera and want to raise a few bucks for your next trip to the Caribbean. Or you have a camcorder and a ton of ideas for making unique videos. The Metacafe Producer Rewards Program pays “$5 per 1,000 views – you receive your first payment for $100 after crossing the 20,000 views mark and being accepted into the program.” The rules of the program aren’t complicated and the site does a good job of explaining what they want:

“Videos submitted to the program should entertain, amaze and inspire viewers. They should bring an original idea to life and tell a story that captures the viewer’s attention and engages the imagination. The production value should be high – staged, scripted, well-lit, with good audio.”

I know five bucks isn’t a lot of money, but just think, if this hilarious video of a dog that likes to snorkel gets 25,000 hits in a month, the contributor will have earned over $100 just for one video. (He kind of looks like he is bobbing for apples, I wonder if he’s in training for Halloween? If so, he’s got a really cute costume already.):
