In this music video contest offered by the American Students Fund, entrants must “specifically include 13 character traits that you believe bring about true change in our country and create a music video, using song or spoken word. The videos must have ORIGINAL lyrics with a positive message, and these can be set to original music, karaoke or public domain. And remember, with the entries and contest open to minors, any adult material, even with a positive message, should not be submitted or associated with the campaign “

All videos can only use self created or royalty free arrangements. Participants are divided into two categories, 13-20 years old and and 20 or older. Each category has three prizes: a $5000 first prize, $1000 second prize, and $500 third prize, for a total of six prizes and $13,000 in prize money.

Make sure to check out their online contest rules, and videos must be submitted by September 7, 2008.
